Bridge Design Engineer
A respected engineering consultancy firm with a strong track record in transportation and public infrastructure is looking for Bridge Design Engineers to join its team in New York & New Jersey. This firm is known for tackling complex, high-impact projects that shape how communities move and connect. This role offers the chance to work alongside experienced engineers on bridge designs that are both technically challenging and deeply meaningful - projects that will stand for decades and serve millions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead bridge design efforts, ensuring quality, safety, and innovation throughout each phase.
- Conduct structural assessments and inspections of existing bridges.
- Support and mentor junior engineers, helping build technical skills and confidence.
- Review design calculations and drawings for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in bridge engineering with a strong record of successful project delivery.
- PE license is a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of design standards and engineering principles.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proven leadership experience, including managing project teams and mentoring others.
- Comfortable working directly with clients and navigating project requirements.
