Our client is seeking a Bridge Engineer with approximately 10 years of experience to support and deliver TxDOT bridge projects across Texas. This is a client-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, managing project coordination efforts, and serving as a trusted advisor throughout project delivery.

The selected candidate will play a key role on major transportation infrastructure projects, including involvement with significant highway initiatives such as the Hempstead Highway project. This position requires regular interaction with TxDOT, local agencies, subconsultants, and internal project teams to help ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the design and delivery of bridge and structural transportation projects.
  • Serve as a client-facing representative, maintaining strong relationships with TxDOT and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including roadway, drainage, traffic, and construction personnel.
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control efforts.
  • Assist with business development activities, client meetings, and project pursuits.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
  • Support proposal development and project interviews for upcoming transportation pursuits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Texas PE license required.
  • Approximately 10 years of bridge engineering experience.
  • Strong experience delivering TxDOT bridge projects.
  • Active TxDOT bridge-related precertifications preferred.
  • Experience with highway bridge design, rehabilitation, and transportation structures.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines and manage client expectations.

Preferred Experience

  • TxDOT bridge design and transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Experience supporting large-scale highway corridor improvements.
  • Existing relationships with TxDOT districts and transportation stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Bentley and bridge design software commonly used on TxDOT projects.
