A role for someone who enjoys turning concepts into clear, buildable automation designs. You'll work across a range of commercial and mission‑critical projects, shaping how systems are laid out, documented, and delivered. This is a fully remote position with steady collaboration across engineering, project management, and field teams.
What you'll be responsible for
- Creating control system designs, drawings, and documentation packages
- Developing control diagrams, network layouts, risers, and point‑to‑point details
- Coordinating with programmers, project managers, and field technicians
- Reviewing sequences, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and constructability
- Supporting teams during installation and commissioning with design‑related guidance
Tools and platforms you'll work with
- Visio or AutoCAD for drawings and design documentation
- BAS platforms such as Niagara, Distech, Alerton, or similar (experience in any is helpful)
- Standard industry protocols and architectures (BACnet, IP networks, integration layers)
What you bring
- Experience producing building automation design packages
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, control strategies, and mechanical drawings
- Ability to translate sequences into clear, logical design documents
- Comfort working remotely with distributed teams
- Visio or AutoCAD proficiency is required
