Building Automation Technician

About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Install, program, and commission Building Automation Systems
- Work extensively with Metasys controllers and front ends
- Configure and support Tridium Niagara (N4 preferred) systems
- Develop and modify BAS graphics and user interfaces
- Perform system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and optimisation
- Support point‑to‑point checkout, functional testing, and commissioning
- Interpret control drawings, sequences of operation, and specifications
- Provide on‑site technical support and client interaction
- Ensure systems are delivered in line with project and safety standards
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Building Automation / Controls Technician
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of Metasys
- Practical experience with Tridium Niagara (AX or N4)
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems and controls
- Experience with installation, commissioning, and service work
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Comfortable working independently in the field
Preferred Background
- Experience in commercial buildings, healthcare, education, or labs
- Familiarity with BACnet, IP networking, and field devices
- Previous work with systems integrators or OEMs
- Relevant technical certifications or trade background
