The Opportunity
We are seeking a Building Enclosure Department Leader to oversee both the enclosure design team and building consulting team. This role is central to the client's expanding presence across the Southeast, with immediate focus on the Atlanta and Tennessee markets.
This position is suited for:
- An experienced leader seeking a long‑term, stable senior role with major growth potential, or
- A strong senior building enclosure professional ready to step into department leadership, must have prior management experience and strong client‑facing ability.
You will also collaborate closely with the organization's Design Leader, supporting technical excellence and operational alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead both the Building Enclosure Design and Building Consulting functions.
- Manage and mentor engineers and consultants; support performance alignment and team development.
- Oversee enclosure design, roofing/waterproofing, forensic analysis, remediation, and commissioning projects.
- Serve as a primary client‑facing leader, supporting business development and relationship management.
- Drive strategic growth initiatives as the company continues expanding across regions.
- Ensure high‑quality delivery standards across all building enclosure projects.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of Building Enclosure Consulting (BEC) experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture.
- Professional license: PE, RA, (IIBEC credentials are a plus).
- Proven management experience, team leadership, performance management, and operational oversight.
- Strong client‑facing communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Expertise in:
- Roofing systems (strong plus)
- Building Envelope Commissioning (BECx)
