About the Opportunity

A growing engineering and infrastructure business is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to support its continued expansion across Australia's renewable energy and power markets.

The company has a strong track record delivering projects across utility-scale solar, BESS, switchyards, microgrids, off-grid power systems, and broader power infrastructure, and is looking to further strengthen its market presence by securing new customers and building long-term strategic partnerships.

This is an opportunity for an experienced industry professional to take ownership of business development activities and play a key role in shaping the company's future growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across renewable energy and power infrastructure markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with developers, utilities, EPCs, consultants, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Engage with Project Directors, Development Directors, General Managers, and C-suite decision-makers responsible for major capital projects.
  • Develop strategies to increase market visibility and expand the company's client base.
  • Work closely with technical and delivery teams to position the business for upcoming opportunities.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
  • Drive opportunities across utility-scale solar, BESS, switchyard, transmission, distribution, and microgrid projects.

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated success in business development, sales, or account management within the renewable energy, utilities, or power infrastructure sector.
  • Strong existing network across utilities, developers, consultants, EPC contractors, and asset owners.
  • Proven experience within utility-scale solar and BESS markets.
  • Ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers on large capital infrastructure projects.
  • Track record of generating new business and developing long-term customer relationships.
  • Ability to quickly establish market presence and create opportunities through existing industry connections.
