The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to join a high-growth organisation at the forefront of the energy transition.
This role will focus on driving sales growth, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding market share across the renewable energy and energy storage sectors. You will work closely with key industry stakeholders, including EPC contractors, developers, distributors, installers, and commercial customers, to identify and secure new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth across Australia.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the renewable energy and battery storage markets.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with installers, distributors, EPC contractors, developers, consultants, and end-users.
- Drive opportunities across Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and utility-scale energy storage projects.
- Lead commercial negotiations and manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through to contract execution.
- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with technical, operations, and project delivery teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
About You
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the renewable energy, energy storage, solar, electrical, or power sectors.
- Strong understanding of the Australian energy market and key industry stakeholders.
- Experience selling technical solutions into EPCs, developers, distributors, or commercial customers.
- Exposure to battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar PV, EV charging, or distributed energy solutions will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic relationships and close complex commercial agreements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable operating within a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Australian work rights and willingness to travel as required.
