CADD Manager

We're seeking a seasoned CAD professional with 10-15 years of experience in transportation design to step into a hybrid role that blends high-level production with strategic technology leadership. This is ideal for someone who's ready to expand beyond design into configuration, standards development, and team enablement-while still staying hands-on with OpenRoads and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead CAD production efforts on transportation infrastructure projects using OpenRoads Designer.
  • Develop and maintain advanced CAD configurations, templates, and workflows that go beyond basic design setups.
  • Collaborate with design teams to troubleshoot and optimize digital delivery processes.
  • Serve as a go-to resource for CAD standards, automation, and integration with other design technologies.
  • Support onboarding and training of junior staff in CAD tools and best practices.
  • Work closely with senior leadership (reporting to either the Director of Transportation or a senior design lead) to align CAD strategy with project goals.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 10-15 years of experience in transportation design, with a strong focus on CAD production and digital delivery.
  • Deep proficiency in OpenRoads Designer and related Bentley tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to set up and manage sophisticated CAD configurations.
  • Comfortable taking initiative and stepping into a leadership role while continuing to contribute technically.
  • Strong communicator with a collaborative mindset and a passion for improving design workflows.
  • Based in Dallas or willing to work from the Dallas office regularly.

Why This Role?

  • You'll have the opportunity to shape how technology is used across projects-not just execute designs.
  • You'll be part of a team that values innovation, autonomy, and continuous improvement.
  • The role is open now, and we're ready to move quickly for the right candidate.
