We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our fast-growing renewable energy company. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the company's financial strategy, managing capital structure, and supporting growth through project finance, equity fundraising, mergers & acquisitions, and investor relations. This role also oversees all aspects of financial planning, accounting, risk management, insurance, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's long-term goals.
  • Advise the CEO and Board on financial planning, risk management, and capital allocation.

Project Finance & Capital Raising

  • Lead structuring and execution of project financing for renewable energy assets.
  • Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and development finance institutions (DFIs).
  • Oversee capital raising efforts including equity, debt, and hybrid instruments.

Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Identify and evaluate M&A opportunities to support strategic growth.
  • Lead financial due diligence, valuation, and integration planning.

Investor Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for investors and analysts.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and performance updates to stakeholders.

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Risk Management & Insurance

  • Develop and implement risk management frameworks.
  • Manage corporate insurance programs and ensure adequate coverage for operational and project risks.

Treasury & Bonds

  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
  • Oversee issuance and management of green bonds or other debt instruments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO or senior finance role.
  • Proven track record in project finance, capital markets, and M&A within the energy or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy financing structures and regulatory landscape.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
