Civil Design Engineer - Denver, CO

A growing civil engineering and surveying consulting firm is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join its Denver office. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to take on meaningful design responsibilities, work closely with senior engineers, and contribute to land development and infrastructure projects across the region.

About the Opportunity

You will support and lead components of civil design projects involving site development, grading, utilities, stormwater, transportation interfaces, and overall site infrastructure. The role is ideal for engineers who want hands‑on design work, direct client exposure, and opportunities to grow into a project engineering or project management track.

What You'll Do

Develop civil site designs including grading, drainage, utility layouts, and roadway connections
Produce construction plans using Civil 3D and related design software
Support permitting efforts and coordinate with local jurisdictions
Prepare technical reports, calculations, and design documentation
Collaborate closely with project managers, survey teams, and multidisciplinary design staff
Communicate with clients, architects, and contractors to support project delivery

What We're Looking For

3-7 years of civil engineering design experience
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Experience with land development, commercial sites, mixed-use, or public infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of grading, stormwater design, and utility systems
EIT or PE track; PE is a plus but not required
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced consulting environment
