The Role
A design-focused civil engineering position for an engineer with a few years of experience looking to build a strong technical foundation and grow toward project management. You'll work directly alongside experienced project managers and principal engineers, taking real ownership of design tasks across a varied portfolio of land development projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare site grading, roadway, utility, stormwater, and site development designs
- Perform stormwater conveyance, quantity, and quality modeling
- Design sanitary sewer, water, and stormwater conveyance systems
- Prepare TESC plans, engineering calculations, technical memoranda, specifications, and cost estimates
- Coordinate engineering designs with survey, planning, permitting, and other project disciplines
- Review engineering plans for accuracy, completeness, and code compliance
- Participate in internal design reviews and incorporate comments into project deliverables
- Occasionally visit project sites to observe construction progress and verify conformance with plans
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- EIT certification required with active progress toward PE licensure
- 3+ years of civil engineering design experience
- Proficiency in applicable engineering design software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and reliable follow-through
Preferred Qualifications
- Site development experience
- Familiarity with Civil 3D and stormwater modeling software
- Experience coordinating across multiple project disciplines
