  • Develop and review complete construction plan sets using Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, cost estimates, and permitting documents
  • Apply relevant municipal, state, and federal design standards
  • Coordinate with surveyors, architects, planners, developers, contractors, utility providers, and regulatory agencies
  • Work directly with clients to understand project objectives, budgets, schedules, and technical requirements
  • Support the preparation of scopes of work, fee estimates, and project schedules
  • Manage project budgets, deadlines, deliverables, and internal resources
  • Coordinate local planning, zoning, entitlement, and permitting activities
  • Conduct technical and quality-control reviews of engineering documents
  • Provide technical guidance to graduate engineers, EITs, designers, and CAD professionals
  • Attend client meetings, public meetings, and regulatory coordination meetings
  • Perform periodic construction-site observations and respond to technical questions during construction
  • Identify design, permitting, scheduling, and commercial risks before they affect project delivery
  • Support business development through strong client service, relationship management, and proposal preparation

  • Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, erosion control, and site design
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Experience producing and reviewing complete civil construction plan sets
  • A practical understanding of surveying, topographic information, easements, rights-of-way, and property constraints
  • Experience coordinating with planning departments, utility authorities, permitting agencies, and local municipalities
