The Role
An entry to mid-level civil engineering position supporting the planning, design, and execution of site development, stormwater, transportation, and utility projects. The level of responsibility and project complexity will scale with your experience and demonstrated competencies - a good fit for an early-career engineer looking to build broad technical skills in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare site plans, grading plans, utility plans, drainage plans, and roadway plans
- Participate in engineering analysis, design development, and construction document preparation
- Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, bid schedules, permit applications, and specifications
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Perform engineering calculations and evaluations under appropriate supervision
- Support permitting efforts with local, state, and federal agencies
- Participate in site visits, field investigations, and construction observation
- Help maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- 0 to 4 years of civil engineering experience
- EIT certification or ability to obtain within six months
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and common civil engineering design software
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under the guidance of senior engineering staff while managing multiple assignments independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across site development, stormwater, or transportation project types
- Familiarity with Oregon permitting processes and local agency coordination
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple concurrent project assignments
Compensation
- $65,000 to $110,000 depending on experience
