Civil Engineer - Water/Wastewater Infrastructure

An employee-owned engineering firm is seeking a motivated Civil or Environmental Engineer to join its growing Tampa office. This is a unique opportunity to work on impactful utility infrastructure projects across West Florida and the Gulf Coast, while enjoying a stable, growth-oriented environment with low staff turnover and a strong team culture.

Employee Owned Firm:

  • Employee-owned ESOP + 401(k) 6% match

  • Hybrid: 3 days in office/2 days from home or fully remote.

What You'll Do:

  • Contribute to the design of water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems.
  • Perform hydraulic evaluations, design calculations, and develop plans, profiles, and specifications.
  • Support permitting efforts with local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Conduct field investigations, attend client meetings, and assist during construction phases.
  • Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to deliver high-quality, on-budget work.
  • Stay informed on local utility standards and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in utility infrastructure design (pipelines, pump stations, or treatment facilities).
  • EI certification required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 6-12 months.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D, Microsoft Office, and hydraulic modeling tools.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Valid driver's license and clean background.

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in water/wastewater system design.
  • Experience with plan production, permit submittals, and agency coordination.
  • Familiarity with Florida permitting processes (FDEP, local municipalities).
  • Advanced skills in Civil3D and/or Revit.
