Overview
A multidisciplinary engineering firm is hiring a Senior Civil Engineer or Project Engineer to manage public infrastructure projects. The role combines project management, technical oversight, and hands-on civil design. Work spans transportation, site development, and a large portfolio of water and wastewater projects.
Project Types
Typical work includes:
- Water and wastewater systems
- Pipeline design
- Pump stations and distribution systems
- Groundwater treatment and wells
- Stormwater and drainage design
- Roadway and utility improvements
- Coastal and shoreline resilience
- Parks, open space, and general site development
- ADA and accessibility upgrades
Responsibilities
- Lead projects, staff, and subconsultants
- Manage budgets, schedules, and scope
- Coordinate with public agencies, clients, and design partners
- Review and produce design work in Civil 3D
- Guide technical work across water, wastewater, utilities, grading, and roadway design
- Oversee hydraulics and hydrology tasks
- Develop plans, specs, and full design packages
- Support proposal development and client pursuits
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering
- 7 plus years of experience
- PE required
- Strong Civil 3D skills
- Experience with StormCAD, AutoTurn, or similar tools is a plus
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
- Detail oriented, reliable, and comfortable leading teams
- Able to prioritize, multitask, and operate well under deadlines
