Project Engineer - Civil Land Development
Location: Denver, CO
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
A well-established civil engineering firm is seeking a Project Engineer to join its Denver office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to contribute to a variety of residential and commercial land development projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support engineering teams on land development projects including single-family, multi-family, mixed-use, and commercial/retail developments
- Perform grading and drainage analysis and design
- Design water distribution and wastewater collection systems
- Prepare technical reports and documentation
- Ensure compliance with local zoning and land use codes
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in land development consulting
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with StormCAD, WaterCAD, and CUHP SWMM
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
