The Role
A municipal-focused project management position for a civil engineer with a strong public works background and a passion for delivering community-impacting infrastructure projects. You'll lead projects from initial planning through design completion, manage client relationships, supervise technical staff, and contribute to business development across a collaborative, multi-discipline team environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan, provide design guidance, and manage a variety of civil engineering projects from kickoff through design completion
- Prepare and manage project scope, budget, schedule, and deliverables
- Serve as primary client contact and cultivate long-term relationships with public agency clients
- Supervise and mentor civil project engineers and EITs
- Coordinate cross-functionally with team leads, managers, and shared technical resources
- Prepare specifications and engineering cost estimates
- Identify and position the firm to win future work through active client engagement
- Guide staff in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley Open Roads
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Washington and/or Oregon PE license (or ability to obtain within six months)
- 5+ years of public works transportation project experience
- At least 1 year of hands-on project management experience including roadway and utility design with public agency clients
- Experience mentoring civil engineers and EITs
- Experience in specification writing and engineering cost estimate preparation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley Open Roads
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Forest Service, DOT, or similar public agency clients
- Active interest in business development and client relationship cultivation
- Multi-state PE licensure

Compensation
- $110,000 to $165,000 depending on experience
