Civil Project Manager
Our client is a highly respected engineering consulting firm with a strong presence across New England, delivering complex infrastructure and water resources projects for municipalities, state agencies, and transportation clients. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to help lead and expand their Water Resources group.
This position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of hydrology and hydraulics projects, working with municipal clients and DOTs on drainage, stormwater, flood risk, and transportation infrastructure initiatives throughout the region.
Responsibilities
- Manage water resources projects from planning and design through construction support
- Lead hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for transportation, municipal, and infrastructure projects
- Oversee the development of drainage studies, stormwater management plans, watershed analyses, and floodplain evaluations
- Coordinate project delivery, schedules, budgets, and client expectations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for municipal, state, and transportation agency clients
- Review technical reports, engineering calculations, and design packages
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across project teams
- Support business development efforts, proposal preparation, and client relationship management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including transportation, environmental, and civil engineering professionals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) licence required
- 10+ years of experience in civil engineering with a strong focus on water resources
- Proven experience managing engineering projects and client relationships
- Strong background in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, drainage design, and floodplain analysis
- Experience working with municipal clients, state agencies, and DOTs
- Proficiency with H&H modelling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD, SWMM, or similar platforms
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills

- Bridge and culvert hydraulics
- FEMA floodplain studies and permitting
- Climate resiliency and flood mitigation planning
- Civil 3D and GIS applications
