The Project Manager will lead and manage Construction Materials Testing (CMT) projects in either the Austin or San Antonio office. This individual will be responsible for overseeing field and laboratory operations, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining strong client relationships. The role requires a proactive leader who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering exceptional service and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees all phases of CMT projects, from proposal through completion.
- Coordinates field and laboratory testing for soil, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials.
- Supervises and mentors field technicians and project engineers.
- Reviews and approves technical reports to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Maintains client relationships and serves as the primary point of contact for project updates.
- Monitors budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Enforces safety protocols and quality control procedures across all project activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction materials testing or geotechnical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, and TxDOT standards.
- Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred
