Controls Engineer III

Join a top-tier engineering consultancy delivering integrated software and hardware solutions across industries such as aerospace, healthcare, and consumer goods. As a senior contributor, you'll lead technical efforts, commission advanced systems, and support client relationships while mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop custom automation solutions using major industrial platforms (e.g. Siemens, Rockwell, Ignition)

  • Lead on-site commissioning and troubleshooting of complex systems (approx. 20-35% travel)

  • Oversee system architecture and contribute to all stages of the engineering process

  • Provide technical mentorship and support collaborative project execution

  • Communicate clearly with clients and assist in proposal and business development activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (or related field)

  • Minimum GPA of 3.4

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial automation (PLCs, HMI, SCADA, robotics, machine vision)

  • Proficiency in text-based programming and object-oriented design

  • Strong system-level thinking and the ability to learn new technologies quickly

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage client-facing projects
