Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Building Automation Technician to join our team in San Antonio. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Siemens Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems and a strong understanding of HVAC controls, energy management, and building automation technologies. This role involves installing, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining automation systems to ensure optimal building performance and occupant comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission Siemens DDC systems for HVAC and building automation projects.
- Perform system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs to maintain peak system performance.
- Program and integrate control sequences for HVAC equipment and other building systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and respond to service calls in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, wiring diagrams, and service reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all work activities.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years working with building automation systems, preferably Siemens DDC.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and control theory.
- Proficiency in Siemens automation platforms (e.g., Desigo CC, Apogee).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams.
- Education: Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: Siemens system certifications or similar industry credentials preferred.
- Other: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
