ポジション概要
国内外のデータセンタープロジェクトにおいて、機械設備または電気設備の設計業務を担当いただきます。
データセンター業界の経験は必須ではありません。建築設備、MEP、商業施設、医療施設、工場、インフラ関連などの設計経験をお持ちの方であれば、成長著しいデータセンター分野へキャリアを広げる絶好の機会です。
社内外のエンジニア、建築設計事務所、施工会社、クライアントおよび海外拠点と連携しながら、先進的なデータセンター設計に携わっていただきます。
主な業務内容
- データセンターおよびミッションクリティカル施設向けの機械設備または電気設備設計
- 基本設計、詳細設計および設計ドキュメントの作成
- 設備システムに関する技術計算、仕様書および図面作成
- クライアント要件に基づく設計提案および技術サポート
- 国内外の設計基準・規格に準拠した設計品質の確保
- 建築・構造・他設備チームとの設計調整
- クライアント、施工会社および関係者との技術打合せ
- 既存設備の調査、評価および報告書作成
- 施工フェーズにおける技術サポートおよび設計監理
- 若手エンジニアへの技術支援およびレビュー
応募要件
必須要件
- 機械設備または電気設備設計の実務経験
- 建築設備、MEPコンサルティング、インフラ、産業施設等での設計経験
- 機械工学、電気工学、建築設備工学等の学位
- 設計計算および技術文書作成経験
- Microsoft Office（Excel、Word、PowerPoint）の使用経験
- 設計ソフトウェアや計算ツールの使用経験
- 日本語での業務遂行能力

- BIM／Revitの使用経験

Data Center Design Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical)

Company Overview
Our client is a leading international MEP consulting engineering firm delivering innovative design solutions across data centers, mission critical facilities, commercial developments, and large-scale infrastructure projects worldwide.
With a strong focus on sustainability, energy efficiency, and low-carbon design, the company supports clients throughout the complete building lifecycle, from concept and design through construction and commissioning.
Due to continued growth in Japan, they are seeking a Data Center Design Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) to join their Tokyo office.
Position Summary
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile data center projects across Japan and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
Direct data center experience is not required. Engineers from building services, MEP consulting, commercial buildings, healthcare, industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
You will work closely with clients, architects, contractors, consultants, and international design teams to deliver world-class engineering solutions for mission critical facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical or electrical engineering designs for data center and mission critical facilities
- Deliver concept, schematic, and detailed design packages
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, and design documentation
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams throughout project delivery
- Ensure designs comply with local and international codes, standards, and client requirements
- Attend client meetings and provide technical advice throughout project lifecycles
- Conduct assessments and surveys of existing building systems where required
- Support construction activities, technical reviews, and site coordination
- Contribute to design reviews and quality assurance processes
- Mentor junior engineers and support technical development within the team
Requirements
Essential
- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience within building services, MEP consulting, infrastructure, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, or commercial building projects
- Ability to produce engineering calculations and technical documentation
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using engineering software, design tools, and spreadsheets
- Fluent Japanese language skills
Preferred
- Data center or mission critical project experience
- BIM/Revit experience
- Professional engineering qualifications
- Experience working on international projects
- English communication skills
- Experience leading projects or mentoring junior engineers
