2) Position Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Design Manager to support the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure projects, including hyperscale data centres in Japan.
日本国内におけるハイパースケールデータセンターを含む大規模ミッションクリティカルインフラプロジェクトを推進する電気設計マネージャーを募集しています。
This role will be responsible for managing the electrical design lifecycle, working closely with internal development, construction, and operations teams, as well as external consultants and contractors.
本ポジションでは、社内の開発・建設・運用チームおよび外部コンサルタント・施工会社と連携し、電気設計の全工程を統括します。
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered in line with technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements.

3) Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the electrical design process for new build, expansion, and retrofit data centre projects.
・新設、拡張、改修を含むデータセンタープロジェクトの電気設計業務をリードおよび管理する
* Develop design briefs and oversee external consultants to ensure alignment with project scope, budget, and timelines.
・設計要件書を作成し、外部コンサルタントを管理しながら、プロジェクト範囲・予算・スケジュールとの整合性を確保する
* Review and approve design proposals, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with local regulations and global standards.
・設計提案、図面、技術文書をレビュー・承認し、日本の法規およびグローバル基準への適合性を確保する
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including construction, procurement, and operations to drive project delivery.
・建設・調達・運用などの関連部門と連携し、プロジェクト推進をリードする
* Provide technical leadership on electrical systems including power distribution, backup systems, and mission-critical infrastructure.
・配電設備、バックアップ電源、ミッションクリティカル設備を含む電気システムにおいて技術的リーダーシップを発揮する
* Evaluate new technologies and engineering solutions to enhance efficiency, resilience, and sustainability.
・効率性・信頼性・持続可能性向上のため、新技術やエンジニアリングソリューションを評価する
* Manage stakeholder communication and provide regular project updates.
・ステークホルダーとのコミュニケーション管理および進捗報告を行う
* Oversee testing and commissioning processes (FAT, SAT, IST) to ensure successful project delivery.
・FAT、SAT、ISTなどの試運転プロセスを統括し、プロジェクトの円滑な完了を確保する

4) Requirements

* Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
・電気工学または関連分野の学位
* 5-10 years of experience in electrical design engineering within data centre or mission-critical environments.
・データセンターまたはミッションクリティカル分野における5〜10年の電気設計経験
* Strong understanding of MEP systems and data centre electrical infrastructure.
・MEPシステムおよびデータセンター電気設備に関する深い理解
* Proven experience managing design consultants and complex project delivery.
・設計コンサルタントの管理および複雑なプロジェクトの遂行経験
* Familiarity with Japanese codes, standards, and construction practices.
・日本の法規、基準、施工慣習に関する知識
* Strong commercial acumen including cost optimization and value engineering.
・コスト最適化やバリューエンジニアリングを含む高い商業意識
* Business-level Japanese and English communication skills.
・日本語（ビジネスレベル）および英語でのコミュニケーション能力
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.
