This role sits within the Site Management team, which is critical to maintaining and expanding the backbone of the organization's operations-its data centers, offices, and colocation facilities worldwide.


Why This Role Matters

The Site Management team ensures the reliability and scalability of infrastructure by managing space, power, physical security, and structured cabling across global facilities. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to define and enforce design standards, implementation strategies, and procedural frameworks that guarantee consistency and quality across all infrastructure projects.

This position is pivotal for new construction, expansions, relocations, and capital improvement projects, requiring strong project management skills, technical expertise in IT networks and server infrastructure, and a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and continuously refine standards and runbooks for the design and commissioning of data centers, offices, and colocation sites.
  • Lead vendors through detailed Scopes of Work and RFP processes.
  • Oversee construction fit-outs and build-outs to align with stakeholder requirements.
  • Manage capacity planning, inventory, and alert systems; analyze data to recommend improvements.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Initiate projects that improve capability, reduce costs, and optimize performance.
  • Coordinate IMACs (Install, Move, Add, Change) and participate in scheduled power-downs across facilities.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Technology Engineering.
  • Strong grasp of power calculations for single and three-phase circuits, electrical and control diagrams.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and travel globally.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python).
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems such as feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS, ATS, PDU units, and HVAC.
  • Proven track record in problem-solving and project management.
  • Internship or experience in facility management, data center operations, or power generation/distribution.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary starting at $100,000 (New York-based), plus discretionary bonuses that can significantly increase total compensation.
