About the Role

As the Director of Civil Engineering for Land Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping regional strategies, driving business growth, and leading a talented team of engineers and technical staff. This position calls for a visionary leader with deep expertise in civil engineering, proven success in land development, and exceptional leadership and client engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of civil engineers and support professionals.
  • Cultivate a collaborative, innovative environment that promotes professional growth.
  • Oversee planning, design, and execution of land development projects, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule compliance.
  • Develop and implement regional strategies to enhance market share and profitability.

Business Development

  • Create and execute strategic plans to expand market presence and secure new projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities, including proposal development and contract negotiations.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences to strengthen visibility and reputation.

Project Oversight

  • Ensure successful delivery of projects from concept through completion.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners for seamless execution and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 15+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on land development (commercial and/or residential).
  • Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to execute long-term plans.
