About the Role
As the Director of Civil Engineering for Land Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping regional strategies, driving business growth, and leading a talented team of engineers and technical staff. This position calls for a visionary leader with deep expertise in civil engineering, proven success in land development, and exceptional leadership and client engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of civil engineers and support professionals.
- Cultivate a collaborative, innovative environment that promotes professional growth.
- Oversee planning, design, and execution of land development projects, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule compliance.
- Develop and implement regional strategies to enhance market share and profitability.
Business Development
- Create and execute strategic plans to expand market presence and secure new projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities, including proposal development and contract negotiations.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences to strengthen visibility and reputation.
Project Oversight
- Ensure successful delivery of projects from concept through completion.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners for seamless execution and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 15+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on land development (commercial and/or residential).
- Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to execute long-term plans.
