LVI is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Albany, New York. About the Role:
As an Electrical Engineer, you'll work under the mentorship of senior engineers to deliver high-quality technical designs and construction documents for commercial power, lighting, and special systems. You'll be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, quality, and professional development.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with in-house design professionals, as well as external architects, building owners, and facility managers.
Support concept planning and evaluate system design options early in project development.
Perform power and lighting load calculations using industry-standard software.
Conduct selective coordination, short circuit, and arc flash studies using SKM software.
Interface with manufacturers and vendors to select and specify appropriate equipment.
Create coordinated construction documents using Revit MEP in a 3D environment.
Provide construction administration services including submittal reviews, site inspections, and troubleshooting.
Participate in weekly internal team meetings focused on training, establishing standards, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2-5 years of experience in electrical design for commercial or institutional buildings.
Proficient in Revit MEP; experience with SKM is a plus.
Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards.
PE license is a plus, but not required.
Motivated to learn, collaborate, and grow in a fast-paced, evolving firm.
