Position Overview: Electrical Engineer (Power/Lighting/Low Voltage Systems)
This role involves designing electrical systems and managing projects from concept through construction. You'll serve as a liaison between the design team and clients, ensuring timely and accurate communication and execution. You'll also mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project timelines and coordinate electrical design activities with clients and internal teams.
- Prepare proposals and engineering agreements aligned with project scope.
- Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and low voltage systems.
- Perform load calculations and equipment selection based on project requirements.
- Produce accurate and complete construction documents for permitting and installation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and QA/QC processes.
- Conduct site surveys, manage punch lists, and support construction phases.
- Mentor junior engineers and oversee onboarding.
- Collaborate on process improvements and cost efficiencies.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in electrical systems design
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Solid understanding of building codes and construction processes
Preferred:
- EIT or PE certification
