Position Overview: Electrical Engineer (Power/Lighting/Low Voltage Systems)

This role involves designing electrical systems and managing projects from concept through construction. You'll serve as a liaison between the design team and clients, ensuring timely and accurate communication and execution. You'll also mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project timelines and coordinate electrical design activities with clients and internal teams.
  • Prepare proposals and engineering agreements aligned with project scope.
  • Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and low voltage systems.
  • Perform load calculations and equipment selection based on project requirements.
  • Produce accurate and complete construction documents for permitting and installation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and QA/QC processes.
  • Conduct site surveys, manage punch lists, and support construction phases.
  • Mentor junior engineers and oversee onboarding.
  • Collaborate on process improvements and cost efficiencies.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical systems design
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Solid understanding of building codes and construction processes

Preferred:

  • EIT or PE certification
