Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Estimator with proven experience in bidding large-scale hyperscale data center projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and estimating for mission-critical environments, particularly within the data center sector. This role is pivotal in supporting our preconstruction efforts and securing high-value projects in the Washington, DC metro area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for hyperscale data center projects.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bid packages.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment on scope and pricing.
- Evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes for accuracy and competitiveness.
- Participate in bid reviews and presentations with senior leadership.
- Maintain current knowledge of market conditions, labor rates, and material pricing.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in electrical estimating, with a focus on data centers.
- Demonstrated success in bidding hyperscale data center projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Trimble, Bluebeam).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
Preferred:
- Experience working with top-tier electrical contractors.
- Familiarity with design-build and fast-track project delivery methods.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
