Project Manager - Healthcare & Data Center Construction (Houston, TX)

Salary: $120,000 - $160,000

Overview:
As a Project Manager, you will serve as the company's principal representative for the administrative and technical management of complex construction projects, specifically in healthcare and data center environments. You will oversee all activities related to contract administration, document control, change orders, submittals, procurement, and scheduling. This role requires close collaboration with estimating during pre-construction and active engagement with owners, architects/engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve constructability and value engineering matters. Your leadership will ensure projects meet client expectations for safety, quality, and profitability.

Working on Projects of up to $250 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review owner contracts and ensure compliance with all terms and conditions
  • Develop and manage the master project schedule and quality control program
  • Identify critical issues, milestones, and potential risks
  • Collaborate with the Preconstruction Department to review budgets and scopes
  • Manage project budgets and forecast potential cost impacts
  • Incorporate safety into all phases of planning and execution
  • Oversee development of GMP or Lump Sum contracts
  • Prepare subcontract and owner change orders
  • Prepare monthly owner requisitions and progress reports
  • Evaluate financial stability of subcontractors prior to mobilization
  • Ensure all subcontractor/vendor contractual requirements are met before work begins
  • Manage project assets and conduct regular job cost reviews
  • Develop look-ahead schedules and monitor progress
  • Implement and maintain the company's quality control program

Requirements:

  • Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent technical training and experience
  • Minimum of three years of experience in construction, design, finance, and project management
  • Proficiency in scheduling and project management software (Primavera, MS Word, Excel, AIA Contract Documents)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings, and construction documentation
