My client, a reputable MEP contractor operating across Texas, is hiring an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead major commercial and industrial construction projects in Houston or San Antonio. This is a leadership role for someone who excels in managing teams, coordinating site operations, and driving project success through safety, quality, and efficiency.
Role Summary:
You'll be the on-site lead for all electrical activities, responsible for supervising crews, aligning with project managers, and ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.
Core Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee electrical teams and subcontractors
- Collaborate on project planning, estimates, and material take-offs
- Organize labor, tools, and equipment to meet project timelines
- Supervise installation of electrical systems including feeders, motors, switchgear, lighting, and control panels
- Maintain safety standards and investigate any incidents or near misses
- Manage site documentation including daily logs, time sheets, and safety reports
- Communicate with general contractors and clients to resolve scheduling or performance issues
- Mentor and train team members to uphold quality and safety standards
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Journeyman or Master Electrical License (Texas)
- Current Electrical TDLR License
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Valid Driver's License and dependable transportation
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in commercial/industrial electrical work
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
