Energy Engineer
What you'll be doing:
* Translate complex energy concepts, utility structures, and technical findings into clear, actionable terms for non-technical decision makers
* Lead client-facing meetings covering energy usage, billing mechanics, and delivery cost components like capacity, transmission, power factor, and demand response
* Conduct cost-benefit analyses for energy efficiency, on-site generation, storage, and electrification initiatives, including compliance pathways such as Local Law 97
* Act as owner's representative, managing vendors and contractors to keep projects aligned with client goals and timelines
* Track utility programs, incentives, and regulatory changes, and help clients build strategies to reduce costs and optimize energy usage
* Run educational sessions for facilities teams on energy fundamentals, new programs, and best practices
* Support business development by joining client and prospect meetings to provide technical expertise and help close opportunities
* Help improve internal workflows and client deliverable to ensure analysis is clear, visual, and decision-ready
What you'll bring:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, or related Engineering field
* 7+ years of experience in facilities engineering, energy engineering, consulting, commissioning, or similar roles within C&I environments
* PE license or EIT certification preferred
* Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
* Experience evaluating technical and financial feasibility of energy, electrification, decolonization, or capital projects
* Exposure to utility coordination and incentive programs
* Strong analytical skills with experience in Excel, AI tools, or similar technologies
* Experience managing engineering projects and presenting findings to clients and stakeholders
* Understanding of electricity and natural gas markets, tariffs, demand response, and utility programs preferred
* Collaborative, client-focused mindset with interest in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
