As the Engineering Office Manager, you will lead operations in the NYC Metro area, focusing on strategic initiatives and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster and expand relationships with key clients, such as NYSDOT, NYCDOT, MTA, NYCDDC, etc
  • Oversee the preparation of proposals, procurement schedules, and business development activities.
  • Supervise contracts and provide guidance to Project Managers.
  • Monitor project financials and performance metrics.
  • Plan for administrative staffing and office facility needs.
  • Ensure design and production work meets professional and company standards
  • Ensure the office's profitability and financial health.
  • Collaborate with regional and corporate managers to support business development.
  • Coordinate staff resource assignments with regional offices.
  • Supervise employees in accordance with firm policies and legal requirements.
  • Manage hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Provide leadership and continuous performance management to foster team growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Minimum of 20 years of industry experience
  • PE Licensed in New York (additional states is a plus)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
