Enviromental Construction Estimator
A leading heavy civil construction firm based in Connecticut is seeking an Estimator to join its growing team. The company is actively expanding its Environmental Division and has secured an extensive project backlog, offering a stable pipeline of work and long-term career potential. The firm specializes in infrastructure projects including water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, lift stations, water and sewer lines, and related utility work. The Estimator will be based primarily in Connecticut, with minimal travel required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil and environmental infrastructure projects
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate quantity takeoffs
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment on scope and pricing
- Assist in bid strategy development and proposal preparation
- Maintain historical cost data and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, preferably within heavy civil or utility infrastructure
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in utility construction, specifically with water/sewer lines and water/wastewater infrastructure
- Strong proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
