Title: Environmental Permitting & Compliance Professional
Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
We're seeking an experienced environmental professional to support multimedia compliance and permitting projects in Fort Lauderdale, FL. In this role, you'll prepare technical reports, calculations, regulatory submissions, and permit applications, while providing on-site inspections and client support. You'll collaborate with industry leaders in a dynamic, continuous learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare permits and compliance programs for air, wastewater, stormwater, waste, spill prevention, storage tanks, and EPCRA (Tier II, TRI)
- Support air projects including emissions calculations, permit preparation, NESHAP/NSPS compliance, annual reporting (Title V, GHG), emissions monitoring, and air modeling
- Perform multi-media compliance audits, gap assessments, inspections, and program reviews
- Develop and implement monitoring and spill prevention plans/programs (SPCC, FRP, SWPPP, Hazardous Waste Contingency Plans, TOMP, Slug Control)
- Prepare technical documents including reports, plans, and permit applications
- Conduct field support at client sites including inspections, sample collection, and on-call assistance
- Perform other field and office duties as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, or related engineering/science field
- 3+ years of experience in environmental permitting and regulatory compliance, preferably in consulting
- FE/EIT/ASP or other professional certification a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel; experience with air modeling software a plus
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
