Civil Engineering CAD Technician - Full-Time | Atlanta, GA
Position Overview
A growing engineering consulting firm is seeking a full-time CAD Technician to support civil engineering projects in the Atlanta area. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of infrastructure and environmental initiatives, including work in sensitive ecological areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft civil engineering plans using AutoCAD software
- Assist engineers with permitting and documentation
- Prepare topographic surveys and related drawings
- Coordinate with local municipalities to obtain utility atlas data
- Follow safety protocols and project standards
- Maintain organized workflows to meet deadlines
- Support additional project tasks as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar drafting software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage project documentation
- Experience in field surveying or inspection is a plus
Education & Experience
- High school diploma with relevant experience in civil design, or equivalent education/training
- Minimum of 2 years' drafting experience using AutoCAD or comparable software
Compensation & Benefits
- $70,000 - $100,000 DOE
