Environmental Health and Safety Manager

About the Role

A firm is seeking a proactive and experienced EHS Manager to lead their environmental, health, and safety initiatives across our operations in Cheyenne. This role is critical in fostering a culture of safety, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in workplace health and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in alignment with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and follow-up.
• Deliver safety training programs and ensure employee engagement in safety practices.
• Oversee emergency preparedness plans and conduct drills.
• Maintain accurate records of compliance, incidents, and training.
• Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or utilities.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CHST, or OSHA 500 are highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS management software.
