Our client is a leading ecological consultancy that has been around for almost 20 years, is seeking experienced Aquatic Ecologists to join their team in Perth.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on exciting projects in wetland and freshwater environments, contributing to conservation, environmental assessments, and ecological research.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conducting wetland and aquatic ecology surveys across Western Australia
- Identifying and cataloging aquatic macroinvertebrates, fish, and vegetation
- Preparing technical reports and contributing to environmental impact assessments
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on ecological monitoring programs
- Supporting project design and fieldwork planning with scientific rigor
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or related fiel
- +5 years of experience in aquatic ecology, preferably in a consultancy or research setting
- Strong skills in field sampling, species identification, and data analysis
- Familiarity with WA wetland systems and relevant environmental legislation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
