Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with a strong background in federal construction projects, including military bases, embassies, VA hospitals, national parks, and other government facilities. The ideal candidate will oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, safety standards, and project specifications. This role requires flexibility for per diem travel or relocation anywhere in the U.S. as project needs dictate.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations on federal construction sites, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to maintain efficient workflow.
- Enforce strict compliance with federal, state, and local building codes, as well as contractual requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, safety logs, and progress updates.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety and quality control.
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, government representatives, and project stakeholders.
- Implement and monitor QA/QC programs and OSHA safety standards.
- Resolve field issues promptly to minimize delays and cost overruns.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, preferably on federal projects.
- Strong knowledge of USACE, NAVFAC, VA, and other federal agency standards.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects in secure or sensitive environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project).
- Ability to pass federal background checks and obtain necessary security clearances.
- Willingness to travel extensively or relocate for project assignments.

- EM 385-1-1 Safety Certification
