Job Overview:
A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Forensic Engineer with a minimum of six years of experience to support complex investigations into structural, mechanical, or civil engineering failures. This role is ideal for a technically proficient professional with a strong background in forensic analysis and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct forensic investigations into engineering failures involving structures, systems, or materials.
- Perform on-site inspections, evidence collection, and technical documentation.
- Analyze data and failure patterns to determine root causes and contributing factors.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and expert witness documentation.
- Liaise with legal teams, insurers, and clients to communicate findings clearly and professionally.
- Provide expert testimony in legal or arbitration settings when required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and industry practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years in forensic investigations.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) accreditation.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication abilities.
