A growing environmental consulting firm is seeking a Project Geologist / Environmental Consultant to support a diverse portfolio of environmental assessment, investigation, and remediation projects.
This role is ideal for an environmental professional who enjoys a combination of field work, technical reporting, client interaction, and project management. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects while gaining increasing responsibility and long-term growth opportunities within a collaborative consulting environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct environmental site investigations involving soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and related environmental media
Support Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
Perform field sampling activities and oversee environmental drilling and subcontractor operations
Evaluate environmental data and assist with the development of investigation and remediation strategies
Prepare technical reports, site assessment documentation, and regulatory deliverables
Coordinate field activities, contractors, laboratories, and project stakeholders
Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables with support from senior staff
Maintain detailed field documentation and ensure quality standards are met
Interface with clients, regulators, and internal project teams throughout project execution
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, or a related discipline
3-10+ years of environmental consulting experience
Experience with environmental investigations, site assessments, and remediation projects
Familiarity with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments preferred
Strong technical writing and data interpretation skills
Ability to work independently in both field and office environments
Experience coordinating subcontractors and field activities is a plus
Strong organizational and communication skills
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel periodically for project work
