Job Description: They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of managing complex projects. As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in leading geotechnical investigations, designing foundations, and providing technical expertise to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead geotechnical investigations and site assessments.
- Design and analyze foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical structures.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.
- Manage and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Conduct fieldwork, including soil sampling, testing, and monitoring.
- Utilize geotechnical software for analysis and design.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, and foundation design.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., GeoStudio, PLAXIS, LPILE).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for fieldwork.
