Position Overview
The Ground Improvement Engineer will play a critical role in the analysis, design, and execution of ground improvement systems, working closely with construction teams, project managers, and clients. Key Responsibilities
The Ground Improvement Engineer will:
- Perform geotechnical analyses and design for ground improvement systems, including but not limited to stone columns, rigid inclusions, vibro techniques, deep soil mixing, and surcharge applications.
- Support design-build project delivery with engineering calculations, subsurface evaluations, and design recommendations.
- Collaborate with field crews and construction personnel to translate design concepts into safe, efficient implementation plans.
- Review geotechnical reports, lab results, CPT data, and subsurface investigations to develop technically sound solutions.
- Prepare engineering reports, design packages, and stamped calculations where required.
- Provide technical support during bidding, project development, and construction.
- Interface with clients, owners, and engineering partners to communicate design rationale, construction methodologies, and performance expectations.
- Participate in quality assurance, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.
