Geotechnical Project Engineer
A well-regarded engineering and consulting firm is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer to join its Dallas office. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of infrastructure, commercial, and industrial projects across North Texas, while contributing to a collaborative and technically driven team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead geotechnical investigations including field exploration, lab testing, and engineering analysis.
- Develop detailed geotechnical reports with recommendations for foundations, retaining structures, slope stability, and pavement design.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Mentor junior engineers and field technicians.
- Support proposal development, project scoping, and budgeting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 3-7 years of geotechnical engineering experience, ideally within the Texas market.
- Texas PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Strong technical knowledge in soil mechanics, foundation systems, and construction practices.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software such as gINT, LPILE, SLIDE, or GeoStudio.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
