Job Title: Head of Sales


Position Overview

The Head of Sales is responsible for driving the sales pipeline, managing key customer relationships, retaining existing clients, and acquiring new business. This leadership role oversees the sales team, formulates strategies to grow enterprise and hyperscale accounts, and ensures the team meets performance targets. The position involves close collaboration with internal departments- such as Solutions, Product, Service Delivery, Network, and Operations- to fulfill customer requirements.

Additionally, the role includes acting as a liaison with vendor partners to enhance joint go-to-market strategies, including hardware and value-added solutions. Coordination with regional headquarters is essential to align sales goals and strategies.


Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and nurture a high-performing sales team.
  • Promote a collaborative and innovative culture aligned with business goals.
  • Mentor team members and support their professional growth.

2. Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts.
  • Strengthen and expand client relationships to drive renewals and growth.
  • Oversee solution adoption, account monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Engage in high-level business discussions with client executives.

3. Sales Process Ownership

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to position and close deals.
  • Ensure timely delivery of proposals and scope of work.
  • Develop and execute target, opportunity, and account plans.
  • Manage vendor joint sales opportunities and referrals.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and meet defined sales targets.

4. Contract Negotiation & Customer Retention

  • Develop strategic business plans to build a sustainable sales pipeline.
  • Lead contract negotiations and ensure profitability.
  • Coordinate with legal, marketing, and finance for go-to-market agreements.
  • Focus on customer retention and identify expansion opportunities.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline, preferably in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in data center sales.
  • Proven success in selling colocation services.
  • Strong network of industry contacts and ability to initiate new business.
  • Experience managing end-to-end sales and contract processes.

  • Experience in managed services (e.g., networking, security, collaboration).
  • Understanding of customer value management and profitability metrics.
  • Background in customer-facing roles, including project management.
  • Experience selling to both government and private sectors.
