My client, a highly respected engineering firm known for its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and national security, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Facilities Design team in Chantilly, VA. This is a unique opportunity to lead complex electrical design projects that support secure, high-performance environments across commercial, institutional, and government sectors.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will:
- Lead electrical design efforts from initial survey through final inspection
- Serve as the primary point of contact for electrical systems on assigned projects
- Design lighting, power, fire alarm, telecom/data, and security systems
- Conduct site surveys and field investigations
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, specifications, and as-built drawings
- Review RFIs, submittals, and conduct final inspections
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure quality control across deliverables
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
What You Bring
- U.S. Citizenship (required)
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- 10+ years of experience in electrical design for facilities
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, AGI32, and SKM
- Experience with UPS systems, emergency generators, grounding, medium voltage systems, and utility coordination
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance
- CDT, LEED AP, or RCDD certifications
