Position: Office Director - Architecture Practice (Denver, CO) - Healthcare

About the Role:

A nationally recognized architecture and design firm is seeking an experienced Office Director to lead its Denver studio. This role is ideal for a licensed architect with a strong background in both practice leadership and project delivery who is ready to take on strategic oversight of studio operations, design excellence, and business development. As Office Director, you will play a key role in shaping the culture, advancing the firm's vision, and growing client relationships in a dynamic market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Denver office, ensuring alignment with firm wide vision, values, and design standards.

  • Cultivate a studio culture rooted in collaboration, mentorship, and design innovation.

  • Guide project teams toward successful outcomes in terms of quality, budget, schedule, and client satisfaction.

  • Work closely with practice and studio leaders to ensure that design and technical standards are upheld across all work.

  • Lead staffing strategy and oversee team performance, development, and recruitment in partnership with studio and HR leadership.

  • Act as a steward of the firm's values, including sustainable design, equity, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

  • Deploy and champion firmwide initiatives locally-such as J.E.D.I., research, and innovation programs.

  • Leverage firm expertise across disciplines to elevate design outcomes and integrate best practices into project delivery.

  • Support business development efforts by nurturing existing client relationships and identifying new opportunities across sectors.

  • Serve as Principal-in-Charge (PIC) on select projects and key client engagements as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch required).

  • Architectural licensure required.

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.

  • Strong design sensibility with a demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from concept through construction.

  • Experience managing staff, project budgets, client relationships, and interdisciplinary teams.

  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks (LEED, WELL, etc.) and integrated design processes.

  • Proficiency in project planning tools and design technology (Revit, MS Project, Vision, Microsoft Teams).

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to foster a strong design culture and align teams around shared goals.

  • Ability to travel as necessary.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range (Denver): $145,000 - $185,000 annually

  • Compensation will be commensurate with experience, expertise, and internal equity.
