A leading heavy civil and sitework contractor in New England is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Sitework Foreman to oversee excavation, grading, and site development projects. Civil sitework remains the organization's core capability and service, and it takes pride in delivering projects from inception to completion while keeping jobs on schedule. This role requires a hands-on leader who values precision, safety, and efficiency, and who thrives in a collaborative environment built on strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and perform excavation, earthwork, and grading operations using cutting-edge technology.
- Manage site development, including drainage systems, sewage installation, and utility work.
- Oversee demolition, land clearing, and forestry mulching for commercial, residential, and renewable energy projects.
- Coordinate road construction and access road development for large-scale sites.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and project specifications.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including GPS-controlled machinery.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to maintain timelines and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in heavy civil construction or sitework.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment and understanding GPS machine control.
- Strong knowledge of grading, drainage systems, and erosion control.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
