Heavy Civil Estimator - Bensalem, PA
A growing heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to support bidding efforts on a variety of infrastructure and utility projects throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in heavy civil, utilities, earthwork, and infrastructure construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare estimates and proposals for heavy civil construction projects
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate cost estimates
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Assist with bid strategy, scope reviews, and value engineering
- Collaborate with project management and operations teams throughout the bidding process
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in estimating, project management, or preconstruction within heavy civil construction
- Strong background in utilities, earthwork, site development, roadway, or infrastructure projects
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications
- Experience with estimating and takeoff software preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
