A respected engineering firm is seeking a Project Engineer to join its Ground Transportation Division. Responsibilities
- Play a key role in a multi-discipline team solving complex technical challenges
- Deliver assignments accurately and on time with limited supervision
- Support project budgeting, scheduling, and scope development
- Understand client organizations and expectations
- Share best practices to improve team performance and efficiency
- Develop person-hour estimates and budgets with senior guidance
- Lead small teams on moderately complex projects
- Assist in proposal development and presentation
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and peers
- Conduct site visits and lead client/contractor meetings
- Prepare technical writing and presentations for deliverables and public forums
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required; Master's (MSCE) preferred
- 5-10 years of relevant experience
- Current PE license in NH, MA, ME, or VT
- Experience with highway projects for MaineDOT, NHDOT, VTrans, or MassDOT
- Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, ArcView, InRoads, MS Word, Excel, and MS Project
