Highway Project Engineer

My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Highway Project Engineer with a minimum of seven years of experience in managing the planning, design, and construction of highway infrastructure projects. This role requires a licensed Professional Engineer with a strong background in field investigations, technical report preparation, and construction administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage highway infrastructure projects from concept through construction.
- Conduct and oversee field investigations and site assessments.
- Prepare and review engineering reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and standards.
- Provide construction administration support, including site visits and contractor coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in highway project engineering.
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- Proven experience in managing transportation infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering.
- Experience with DOT projects and procedures.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
